This section makes it a criminal offence to adulterate any article of food or drink with any harmful or noxious substance, with the intention of selling or offering for sale such adulterated food or drink.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The section recognizes the importance of food safety and seeks to protect the public from the harmful effects of consuming adulterated food or drink.
