DRT court fee for OA and SA
For an Original Application (OA) for recovery of debt, rule 7 of the Debts Recovery Tribunal (Procedure) Rules, 1993 fixes the fee at Rs. 12,000 where the debt is up to Rs. 10 lakh, and Rs. 12,000 plus Rs. 1,000 for every lakh or part of a lakh above Rs. 10 lakh, up to Rs. 1,50,000. For a Securitisation Application (SA) under Section 17 of the SARFAESI Act the calculator applies the scale for a borrower (Rs. 500 per lakh up to Rs. 10 lakh, then Rs. 5,000 plus Rs. 250 per lakh, up to Rs. 1,00,000) and for any other aggrieved person (Rs. 125 per lakh up to Rs. 10 lakh, then Rs. 1,250 plus Rs. 125 per lakh, up to Rs. 50,000).
